Ho hum la la de dah
I’m sitting at my desk
On my chair with a broken back
The casters locked up
From too much long hair
Wrapped around the axels
Sliding in the grooves
On my bare oak floors
Contemplating nothing
But the head ache
Behind my left eye
And my last little piece
Of crappy pot resting
On the foil wrapped around
My trusty meerschaum pipe
When to my utter amazement
I realized I spelled meerschaum
Right the first and second time
Causing my addled brain
To burst forth with the proposition
That all who spell meerschaum right
Should be rewarded with a blast!
Excuse me for a moment…
Ahhh, an altitude adjustment
Clarifying the moment
Like a new pair of glasses
A spectacled spectacle
Or so it seems sans Mr. Heston
In his chariot whipping the horses
Around the velodrome
Akin to my left eye pain
Now doing the circuit
Around my gray matter
At the moment oblivious
To my pressing need
For more coffee
CRAP!
Why can’t cats puke on the floor
Now I have to go wash
The damn cover AND the blanket
You know I think I deserve a blast!
Excuse me for a moment…
Oh ya now we’re squawkin’
And the muse is talkin’
So I’ll skip the walkin’
Cause I’m ready to start rockin’
But not on this page…
