Poem To Tethys
    What knows we rocks
    Silent sentinels on oceans shore
    Warn smooth by Tethys caress
    As uncounted eons pass
    Oh daughter of Uranus
    And child of Gaia
    What memories must you have
    Sweet Goddess of the sea
    Hold me in your arms
    And whisper in my ear
That I too may know the mysteries
    Of thy briny depths
    And thereby become more
    Than mere moss covered stone
    Unfeeling and mute
    Cold and alone

    Seduced by her serenity
    I ventured forth
    To taste her salty caress
    Then
    Dragged to her bosom
    I slipped beneath her waves
    To where crabs now frolic
    Amongst my bones
