The Hour Of Loneliness
Locked away in my ice cavern
    My lips turned steel blue
    I shiver uncontrollably
    As life seeps slowly away
    Tears turned to frozen stream
    That lay upon my cheeks
    Sparkling in the cold sun
    That can no longer warm
    Nor illuminate my hopes
A dream or vision of death?
    No, worse yet than death
    Who calls with icy breath
From the shadows of my cave
    "Come to me quickly now
    And forget this suffering
That torments you in this place"
    BE GONE YOU SPECTER!
Tempt me not with false hope
Not whilst loves fire still burns
    Here, deep within my chest
For I can feel love still
    Remaining here, waiting
    Knowing one will someday come
With loves fire in her breast
To melt these ice bound shackles
    And soar with me upward
    Away from this forsaken place
That my mind has taken me to
    In my hour of loneliness.
